Everyone has a story the world needs to hear.
These are the stories collected through the HopeCorps Story Project. Megan Casper, People of Hope Intern for the 2016-2017 Internship Year, collected these stories as part of her Internship project. The key goal of this project was to encourage members from all across the congregation, to get to know each other. The HopeCorps Story Project began with the simple, Christ-inspired belief that everyone has a story the world needs to hear. Every story matters, because each and every person matters.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in this project! And a huge thank you to the StoryCorps, who inspired this work, and who graciously allowed Intern Megan to use their format and question style in her interview process.

“The biggest lesson I’ve learned in life over all is to be transparent because people are walking the same journey and they think they’re the only ones…and yes, you’re going to have people judging you, but it’s in that, that you can learn and grow, and be stronger.”
“Peppermints and that little mink stole… that’s how I remembered church.”
