Communion

Holy Communion is like a sample meal. For nearly 2000 years now, Christians eat a small piece of bread and a drink a bit of wine (or grape juice) as a way to remember Jesus' last supper with his followers.

Like all Lutheran churches, we believe that Christ is somehow present to us in communion in a special way.  But unlike many Lutherans, our table is "open".  When someone comes to People of Hope, they hear that all are welcomed to take communion - regardless of age or church-going history.

We celebrate communion at each service, every Sunday.
